Armidale - We have Arrived!

Well here we are in Armidale. We made our way up to Armidale on Saturday and all arrived safe and sound.  After settling into our rooms it was off to the White Bull Hotel for our Welcome Dinner and some fundraising with the locals.  A great night was had by all.

Everyone slept well and had a bit of a sleep in.  Some of our very avid riders took off for a morning ride and the King held an information class for some of our "Special Needs Class" as they have decided to call themselves (Sophie, Maree, Kristy and Sharna).  The King was very impressed with their efforts.



Father's Day Raffle


After this we all took off to Armidale Bowling Club to run the Father's Day Raffle.  All the locals were extremely generous.  We were then treated to a wonderful BBQ in the outdoor area which was really nice.

Several of the guys then set about having a game of lawn bowls, while some had a "nanna nap", some of the girls went shopping and some took off to the local park to sit and read.  A really relaxing afternoon.

Tonight we were back at the Armidale Bowling Club for a 3 course dinner.   An early night was then had by all as everyone gets ready for the start of the Ride first thing in the morning!!

Cathy was awarded the Joker Jersey (for falling off a stationery exercise bike) and Sophie was given the Queen of the Mountain Jersey for improving her riding so much.

Everyone is getting on really well and already having a lot of fun - they are a great bunch.
