Hello Uralla !!

About to Leave Armidale!
We made it - here we are in down town Uralla.

What a great morning we had.  Everyone was up bright and early this morning and eager to get going.  Our first stop was to have a fantastic BBQ supplied by the Dumaresq Lions Club.  Following this we headed to the St. John's Junior School who greated us with bright coloured clothes and lots of Camp Quality balloons, even the teachers got right into the swing of it and got dressed up in bright colours.

From there we rode to Armidale City School and were greeted by more excited kids who had stuck gold coins onto a big drawing of Giggle.  All the kids loved having the opportunity to go up to the bike riders and have a sit on their bike, ask "how much they cost", and get photos taken.  The riders really enjoyed interacting with them all.

After this the ride was on - 25 km into Uralla.

Wow the riders looked a sight riding along the road in their colourful Ride 4 Kids Jerseys.

On arriving in Uralla we were off to Uralla Central School.  Again the kids were all so excited to see us.  They had held a Fun Day on the Friday where they all wore yellow to school and had a Fun Run to raise funds for us.  Can you believe they raised an amazing $1,300.00 for us - how amazing was that.  Check out some of the fantastic questions that the kids at each of the Schools asked us:-

Are you allowed to eat Pad Thai?
Were the riders puffed?
St. John's Junior School
While you are on the bike at night how do you sleep?
What time do the riders get up in the morning?
What time do you (Donna) get up in the morning?
Where is your bike (Donna)?
Why is Laughter good for you?
Do any of the riders have cancer?

We really could have stayed at the Schools for hours - the kids just had so many questions to ask.

Once we had finished at Uralla Central, we made our way around to the Top Pub where Brad, Louise and myself had been working hard to put everyone's bags in their respective rooms and organise lunch.  Everyone went in for a shower and then met in the beer garden for a really yummy lunch.

Well, that's it for the moment.  This afternoon we have Fun Therapy happening and a night of fundraising, so will update you on this shortly.

Until then, Donna xx
